Cloudehill Gardens

Cloudehill is one of Australia’s premier formal gardens and is renowned for its colorful spring and summer borders. These are a delight to photograph and provide an incredible backdrop for nature lovers. The garden is also home to one of the world’s largest specimens of magnolia denudata, a Yokohama plant that produces thousands of creamy-white chalice-shaped flowers.

A stroll through Cloudehill’s many gardens will take you through a series of terraces that combine formality with informal planting. Paths interlink through exotic tree plantings, and the lower sections are laid out with accessibility in mind.

There are 25 gardens to explore at Cloudehill. One of the most impressive is the Water Garden, which features a series of waterfalls and ponds. It is also home to a ‘green theatre’ and several garden rooms.

Jells Lake

Bushes surround the lake, and there are a few fishing jetties. Anglers need to carry a valid Recreational Fishing Licence.
This lake is a great place for a family picnic. There are various barbecue areas, and children can play in the playgrounds. If you have a group, you can book ovals for a picnic.
